Product Description
With a bold face and a decidedly masculine design, the Invicta Men's Russian Diver Black Dial Rubber Watch is functional and fashionable. Its presentation begins with a polished stainless steel case and bezel, which features a textured grip on its sides. It also offers a stainless steel crown with a secured screw-down cap. These stainless steel elements frame a black dial with silver-toned luminous hands powered by reliable Swiss quartz movement. The dial also offers green Arabic numerals and hour markers, along with black second markers every five seconds along a green inner bezel, which are all protected under a mineral crystal. The round stainless steel watch case blends into a black rubber bracelet, which features stainless steel barrel inserts for additional style and detail. This timepiece utilizes a trusty buckle clasp to secure the watch to your wrist and boasts water resistance up to 330 feet.Invicta Men's 1433 Russian Diver Black Dial Rubber Watch Review
I have had this watch for years (not exact model but very close). This watch is awesome. I love reading the other reviews regarding this watch with the main observation being in that this watch is huge. My question to the Amazon audience would be, why would you buy a divers watch for everyday wear? Would you buy an Indy race car to drive your kids to soccer practice? The watch needs to be big because at depths of 30 feet or more you will not have ambient light to see clearly. (By the way, I am a diver and my wrist dive computer is twice this size).
The one review that made me actually laugh out loud stated: "This watch lacks both a date function and chronograph that you would find even in cheaper watches. So I find it strange that they call it a "diver" watch. This thing is so heavy, it's likely to drag you down to the bottom of the ocean." When your diving you don't need to know the date or any of the info a chronograph would give you. Also, Im 6' tall weigh 195lbs and in full wet suit and tank I still need to have 45lbs of weight in order to sink. This watch is a serious tool for a sport that can be life or death. I use it as a back-up to my dive computer because I always need to know how much time I can spend underwater based on my tank configuration. In case my dive computer malfunctions I can turn to this.
Also, the band needs to fit tight (trust me, underwater you would'nt notice it) as the increasing pressure at depth can do many things to mechanical instruments. This watch is well made, and keeps very accurate time. If you are buying this as a fashion timepiece understand that you are buying a watch which has a specific function. I dont have any complaints about this timepiece other that I wish mine was under $70 bucks when I purchased it. Even at the price I paid I am extremely happy with this timepiece. If you want a manageable "large" watch buy a Bell & Ross. Fashionable and big. Invicta diver's watch rocks-but its a divers watch-first and foremost!
