I replaced my old worn-out boot bag with this Transpack XT1, and am very happy. My old bag was basically one big pocket that you put both boots and all your gear into together. Some benefits of this design are that it is much more comforable since the boots don't hit your back while you're wearing it, your wet boots are kept separated from your clothes/gear, and I don't have to worry about my goggles getting scratched by my boots anymore. I keep most of my ski clothing in the bag ready to go when the snow calls (it fits my ski pants, gloves, long underwear, hat, and goggles no problem). The construction seems very durable, and it also has a hood pocket, an internal pocket, and two side mesh pockets for little things like sunscreen, tools, handwarmers, etc.
