I've owned many G-Shocks over the years. Most recently, I owned the DW5600MS. I tend to prefer a more square style, and not round. This particular model is both round and square, and I find the shape appealing.

The reverse display is easy to see, and in the event you are in a low/high light situation, the backlight is very bright. Why people buy a reverse display watch, and then give it a one-star rating for poor visibility is beyond me - particularly when a watch is equipped with a good backlight like this one is (unlike the the 5600MS, whose backlight was nothing to write home about.)

The band for this watch is constructed of soft and smooth rubber. It's very comfortabe. Another problem I experience with some watches is when the band won't sit flat. I had the solar GW500A-1V, but the band felt too curved, and it wouldn't conform to my wrist. I hated the way it felt. This particular watch has two rubber shock absorbers on the bottom, and that may or may not be the reason this sits so flush on my wrist.

Far as the exclusive countdown timer button and world time features, they really don't interest me all that much. Not unlike the majority of users, I presume. I do like the vibe alarm and the CR2032 battery choice.

Most of the G-Shock watches have similar features, and it all comes down to personal preference. Visually, I think this is the best looking model to come down the pike in a while. It's simple, solid, and the cost is reasonable.
