Product Description
Kickboard USA is the official distributor for Micro-Moblity, Switzerland, makers of the Mini Kick scooter for kids ages 2-5, the Maxi Kick scooter for kids ages 5-10, and a full line of quality scooters for teens and adults. The Mini Kick is the quality choice in children's scooters. In 2011 the Mini was awarded the Parent's Choice Approved Seal and in 2009, it won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold and Platinum Award Seals for Best Toy. The Mini also was named 'Best Pre-School Scooter' by Toy Report, 'Best Outdoor Toy' by Learning Express Stores and was featured on the NBC Today Show as part of its 'Best Toys for Summer' series. What makes the Mini unique is its quality construction and 'lean-and-steer' design, which allows children to use their body weight to control the steering, giving them the feeling of 'surfing' the sidewalk, as they curve from right to left, almost like a skateboard. The lean-and-steer adds an element of stability and fun, great for learning balance and coordination. The Mini's 3 wheels make it easy for even the youngest kids to ride. The youngest kids (ages 2 and 3) will normally start riding in a straight line but learn quite quickly, almost intuitively, to gently lean, in order to steer. The older kids (ages 4 and 5) become very proficient, curving right and left as they 'surf' the sidewalk. The rear brake adds to the safety and fun.The Mini can be ridden inside while learning (or waiting for Spring) as the Italian made wheels are non marking. The wheels and shock absorbent deck work in unison to provide an incredibly smooth, quiet ride, a joy for parents and children alike. It is light weight (3.3lbs) and strong thanks to a fiberglass reinforced chassis, making it easy for parents or kids to pick up and carry when necessary. Weight limit 44lbs.Children love to ride the mini kick daily, year after year and the modular construction means that all parts are replaceable, so it can last, virtually forever.Mini Micro Scooter - RED Review
We bought this scooter for our Grandson's 2nd birthday. It's a sweet little scooter! Yes it's a bit more expensive than most of the other kid scooters on the market but rightfully so. The wheels glide smoothly on bearings, the configuration of the two wheels at the front and one at the back make a big difference in the experience of learning to ride (avoids the accidental kicking of wheels when pushing off). He's only had it a week so far, yet I'm genuinely amazed at how quickly he has mastered the entire concept. The steering 'lean' versus handle turn is proving to be a bit of a learning curve but he's beginning to master that as well. The scooter seems well made - mfg in Switzerland - built sturdy with just the right amount of understated kid appeal. It gets ridden every day! Coupled with his Paul Frank Skull and Cross Bones helmet, the little dude rocks it! The scooter is worth the extra investment, easy to ride-even for the inexperienced, well made and most of all, apparently fun! You won't go wrong with this one. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Mini Micro Scooter - RED" are high quality item.
