I installed these on a Glock 30SF gen3 and have fired around 1000 rounds through these both indoors and outdoors in various light conditions. Here are my impressions:
Pros:
1) Incredibly easy and fast target acquisition in bright light and outdoor, daytime settings. These sights glow like radioactive frogs!
2) Work great in the dark when there is little or no ambient light present.
Cons:
1) Huge. These sights are physically large compared to anything else I've seen or used, something that didn't translate well in product images. I decided to get a new holster because I didn't like how tight it made my draw.
2) Dots are near invisible in transitional light. Outdoors in daylight, they are amazing, almost as good at night, but at dusk or shooting at an indoor range in poor light, the dots are nearly useless for me. No problem, just use the sight housing for aim, right? Nope. Read below.
3) Point of Aim/Impact has shifted when using the sight housing for aim. If I line up the front green dot to the rear yellow dots, the front blade housing is visibly lower than the rear sight housing. In situations where the dots are useless, (transitional light or poor quality light often found at indoor ranges) using the sight housings to aim causes me to shoot 4" high at 15 yards.
4) Large, visible gap between front and rear sights in my sight picture. The gap seen between the front and rear sight blades creates more left/right play during aim. I would have preferred the front blade to nearly fill the rear sight's notch.
5) Front sight blade housing is fragile and can bend easily. I have never dropped my firearm since installation and always have it stored in a padded, zippered, silicone gun rug, locked in a hard shell case, to and from the firing range. After my 1st trip to the range, when I field stripped the pistol to clean it, I came to find that the front sight housing that protects the fiber optic element had become dented. The dent is purely cosmetic and in now way affects accuracy, but bothers me since I have no recollection of any impact whatsoever during my first session or its trip to and from the range.
6) The bluing or black color on the sights are sensitive to cleaning solvents. My rear sight is showing signs of what look like chemical stains. Keep solvents away from these sights!!
I'm not sure how long I'll continue using these sights, and am disappointed with my initial sessions at the range. Once the front sight shows more signs of damage and or/dents or the color cast continues to discolors further, I'll probably look at other options to address my criticisms above.
