I bought this item for my daughter for her college dorm and it was the best 90.00 I spent, she is able to lock up her laptop, ipod and other items when she leaves her dorm and doesn't have to worry, her other room mates hide their purses under their pillows. She states she so glad she has it since people are in and out of the room with friends. I also bought the lock to anchor the box to the heavy furniture so someone wont walk out with the whole 37lb box. If someone wants to steal something they will but at least with the lock it will slow them down quite a bit. The box has a digital combination that you can set to a four digit code or you can open it with a key. The key whole has a cover over it so you don't know it has a key lock.
