4-In-1 Woodsman Review

As with any multi-tool they are a compromise tool you would have with you at the time rather than several separate tools which get left at home. This tool does a fair job at all tasks it was designed for in one convenient package but not as well as the separate tools which are specifically for their chosen tasks. It will saw 3-4 inch logs into small campfire pieces with as much effort an any other hand saw. The hatchet isn't great at splitting those campfire size logs as the blade is not really wide enough to actually split but you can get the job done and it works great for shaving wood off a log to help start your fire. The hatchet is very sharp and works better as a chopper rather than a splitter. All in all it is a good camp tool to have around and I am sure you will find many uses for it such as archers clearing a shooting lane from their stand or the garden person looking to do some trimming or pounding stakes in the garden.
My main focus of this tool was the hatchet and saw while the tent stake hammer head and stake puller will see very little or no use at all in my case. I did put some WD-40 on the saw blades stored in the hatchet handle so they won't rust because the storage area isn't waterproof or even weatherproof where most any outdoor use will eventually see water or moisture enter and rust your blades. This tool will go in my car as my truck and atv already have separate hatches/axes and saws in them. I am not sure how durable this tool will be but then it wasn't designed for constant use everyday but for the few times you may be outside without your other tools and need something like this.

The hatchet does work way better than beating on the back of you good hunting knife with another hard object to drive it through a price of wood to split it.
