I think most flag sticks have reflectors built in... However, if I understand this rangefinder correctly it will not read to objects like most others. It only reads accurately to reflectors - I understand. I went to the mfu's web site and couldn't figure out how to contact them to make sure. There is one other review for this prod on Amazon where the user states this only works with reflective flag sticks. The descriptions seems to point that out but should be more forthcoming IMHO if this is the case. Just want to give a heads-up as I almost bought this because of the great/low price 170 down to 80...
